Music star, Irene Ntale, will grace Face Off TV show on NBS TV this Sunday.
The singer who has started her rehearsals for the Irene Ntale Unchained show two months ahead of the concert will be talking to Face Off Host, Oskar Semweya Musoke.
She will be talking about her music journey so far, how she left Swangz and how her new management is doing wonders for her.

Most Ugandans are children, and how to educate them well enough to prepare them for the world is a major concern for parents. This year, a new festival will offer a chance for children to have fun through participative learning in the arts and sciences.
The Azulato Children’s Festival, which is happening for the first time, will be held this Sunday, May 6 at the Seven Trees Gardens in Kololo. With hands-on activities, interactive workshops and live performances, this festival promotes the arts and sciences through fun learning experiences for children.
The festival’s name ‘Azulato’ comes from a combination of two Luganda words: ‘Okuzula,’ which means to discover, and ‘Abato,’ meaning young children. The Azulato Children’s Festival is designed to support children’s curiosity and creativity and guide them to enjoy discovering their interests and talents.
The festival is being organised by Goethe Zentrum Kampala, the German Cultural Society, and entry is free for all!

Uganda’s entertainment industry has a new entrant called “Delacosta Kingdom”, a music label and talent management company. The company which has its roots in the UK opened its Ugandan offices about a month ago at the University Plaza building in Wandegeya.
Unlike other players already in the market, Delacosta Kingdom seems to have done its home-work and willing not only be concentrating on existing talents, but also dig deeper into corridors of the industry in search of new and fresh talent. In order to realize this, Delacosta kingdom has embarked on a project dubbed “Delacosta entertainment Next superstar search”, where there will be changing lives of younger talented musicians who will emerge as eventual winners at the end of a vigorous three months campaign.
“We want to open doors of opportunity for Ugandan youths, and that’s why winners will be flown to the UK where they will not only visit the company headquarters including a tour of London, but also have the opportunity to record their first album with award winning British Producers,” said Jose Delacosta, the company CEO in a telephone interview.
In a bid to further make an impression on the local industry, Delacosta Kingdom is set to sign and manage several talented local singers, among which is singer Dan Flavor. “We will release an official statement with a full list of artists associated with the label in due course”, affirmed the company’s public relations officer Godfrey Newsmaker.
Delacosta Kingdom was founded by a Ugandan born British entertainment Mogul Joseph Matove commonly known as Jose Delacosta who left Uganda at an early age of 4 years to live with his parents in Netherland before settling in the UK. When Jose visited Uganda as an adult, he couldn’t help it but sulk at the daily realities of the struggles the youths have to endure, and this inspired him to extend his company activities to include the Ugandan market with a goal empowering the youth through talent.
The Delacosta Kingdom outfit plan to also set up permanent studios in Uganda, roll out a mega ultra-modern entertainment unit and the first ever complete mastering studio.
Today, Publiseer, a Nigerian digital book publishing platform, and StreetLib, an Italian ebook aggregator, has concluded a partnership that will see more African literature and non-fiction books published and distributed across more global book platforms worldwide. Both companies, which are members of the International Publishing Distribution Association, will work closely together to foster Publiseer’s mission, which is to “promote the creativity of the African people to the rest of the world.”
This partnership was initiated by Marco Croella, the Chief Operating Officer of StreetLib. Before this partnership, Publiseer has published and distributed nearly 100 book titles written by Africans to over 400 global and well-established book platforms across 100 countries, which includes Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, Google Play Books and Apple iBooks. In this partnership, StreetLib is adding over 70 more online digital stores to Publiseer’s distribution channels. The new additions include bookstores like Leamos, Perubookstore, Nineva, Artcivix and Nubleer.
This partnership was further overseen by Ose Okojie of Publiseer, and Lucia Zitelli of StreetLib. “I thought there could be a chance to work together,” said Marco Croella. “I’m quite excited to work together,” he continued. “This is our first international partnership and we hope it’s the first of many,” said Chidi Nwaogu. “It’s a pleasure,” Lucia said.
This news comes with several others from the company. Just recently, Publiseer was nominated for The Top 100 SMEs in Nigeria Award, organized by Union Bank of Nigeria and Connect Nigeria. Also, the Nigerian publishing company was shortlisted for the African Young Entrepreneurs Empowerment Nigeria’s (AYEEN) 2018 entrepreneurship program and the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) entrepreneurial program. This comes four months after Publiseer’s acceptance into Accelerate Labs acceleration program, organized by Microsoft Nigeria and The Future Project.
Ugandan artistes kick started 2018 on a serious note both locally and internationally.
From Fik Fameica booking several international collabos including one with Wizkid and South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest to Navio doing another one with Tanzania’s Vanessa Mdee and then one with Ice Prince and The Mith intentional collabos are becoming the order of the day.
The latest is Eddy Kenzo who has one coming out real soon with Tanzania’s Harmonize. The song titled ‘Pull Up’ will be released soon according to the star who has been in Abidjan for a show.

Vinka aka “Vero Luggya” is Ugandan Female Artist signed to Swangz Avenue.
To add to the already long list, Swangz Avenue’s Vinka would kill do a song with Sheebah. During a recent interview, the ‘Chips Na KetchUp’ singer who has a new video out said that she badly wants to do a collabo with Sheebah.
‘An artiste that I want to work with would be Sheebah Karungi, I think we have something in common when it comes to music but there many artistes I would love to work with.’
Asked about which artistes she would love to work with on the international scene, Vinka named Yemi Alade and Wizkid.
Unlike many Ugandan artistes, rapper Navio is one who gives credit where it is due. And given the viewership his new video called ‘Paper‘ that he did with Ice Prince and The Mith is getting, it is only reasonable to thank those that made the whole thing happen.

However, for singer Angella Katatumba, this is not enough yet. The singer who claims to be having a possible epilepsy issue from the assault has gone to every media house painting Chicken Tonight, the restaurant where she was assaulted from, black.

The adored media personality who has been given a new role as a news anchor on the Morning at NTV show on NTV Uganda has been doing preps and making sure everything is in order and she has not disappointed at all
According to our sources at the Serena based TV station, Flavia Tumusiime has been doing her best, trying out outfits for her the morning show, and doing dry runs to make sure everything goes fine.

‘Getting married when you are a celeb is not very easy. Things have not been well with tycoon Jack Pemba. Following a financial scandal, the tycoon went into hiding. As if to add insult to injury, the tycoon is now wanted for a sex tape that he released showing a private moment between him and a one Suleman Honey.
Turns out the Ethics Minister with the help of UCC have identified the man in the video as Jack Pemba and they are looking for him if Lokodo’s words are anything to go by.

Lokodo says that he is going to proceed against the two using the anti-pornography law which condemns creating and distributing pornographic material in Uganda.
This comes after Pemba vehemently denied being the man in the video. However, Suleman whose face appears in the video says that she was making love to Pemba.
