When Bebe Cool announced his much-anticipated “Golden Heart” concert this year, he revealed that its proceeds would go towards facilitating children with complicated heart problems to receive treatment abroad.

With just days to the concert, the “Love You Everyday” hitmaker has now revealed the kids who will benefit from his charity concert. He announced 5 kids who included Mukyadondwa Anthony, Namuyomba Shirat, Ogwang Emmy, Bbosa Bashir, and Kicaarwot Sandra who will all be flying to India a few days after the concert to receive specialized treatment in top Indian hospitals.

He previously noted that the initiative to facilitate ailing children to India was inspired by an encounter with a mother and her sick child at his gate early this year.

“A few months ago, I met a woman with a child at my gate who was seeking my help to go receive treatment in India. She told me that she had some one ready to foot all her hospital bills in India but she did not have money for an air ticket. I was skeptical, but after I verified her story and it was true, I contacted some of my friends and raised money to send her kid to India where she underwent a successfully operation. This made realize how little can make a difference in another person’s life.” He explained.

He also promised to continue facilitating more children to India with his every other major concert after the “Golden Heart” concert. The “Golden Heart” concert is slated for this Friday, August 3 at Kololo Independence grounds.

What better way to do that than some comic relief. Last weekend, Uganda Waragi Pineapple delivered to the Gishu land some of Uganda’s best comedians; MC Kapale, Dolibondo, Snake and Zolo, Agnes Akite, Optional Allan, Afande Kelekele and the hottest artiste on Uganda’s Music Scene today, Fefe Busi.

But like a thief in the night, the evening weather was threatening to turn the comedy night into one wet affair. While the gods of Mt Elgon managed to wade off the rain, the cold wind was relentless. Revelers trickled into Thatch Gardens one at a time. By 11pm, the show had gathered momentum.
