By BigEyeUg Writer Ugandan musician and performing artiste Ronald Mayinja who is linked to Hon Kyagulanyi’s people power has yet again thrown surprises to the public and relased a song where he heaps praises on President Museveni for being the best leader Uganda has ever had.
In the new song,Mayinja says no suitable substitute has presented themselves to fill Museveni’s shoes. “People always abuse you but you handle it a gentle way. This country still needs your wisdom. You interact freely with your opponents which was rare with other Ugandan presidents.“
He goes on and makes a call to provide employment to the youth and equipping health facilities with drugs and medicine.
Earlier on, Mayinja was criticized by people power supporters for betraying them and joining National Resistance Movement (NRM) but he later denied and was welcomed back home. He vowed never to support NRM and President Museveni with confessions that he is a dictator and has done nothing for this nation.
He has not yet come out to comment on the song which has left a lot of questions.
Ugandan celebrities continue to mourn fallen Revival Christian Center Church, Kawaala head Pastor, Yiga Augustine (Abizaayo).
This is because of his remarkable contributions to the entertainment industry as the Kawaala-based Revival Band and ABS TV Uganda boss.
The Late Pastor Yiga Augustine
Among them is songstress Angella Katatumba whom the tragic incident did hit deeply after of all her hailing last moments in studio with the Revival Band founder.
During an interview on NBS TV Uncut show, the ‘Tonelabira’ singer revealed that she was extremely horrified by the death of Pastor Yiga because they were collectively working on a musical project before he ailed six months ago.
“I was so saddened and shocked upon hearing about his passing, and May the Lord rest his soul in peace, may the Lord forgive him for all his sins. May he receive him in heaven with all the Angels and Saints. Pastor Yiga and I were working closely for about six months, actually during Lockdown,” Angella Katatumba said.
Angella Katatumba
Angella said that it all started when she had gone for an interview on Pastor Yiga’s ABS TV in Kawaala.
It was there that she met with Pastor Yiga and he applauded her possessing a strong voice which he likened to that of South Africans.
“I had gone for an interview at his TV station at ABS TV and he said to me; Angella I love your voice because in this country you’re the only girl who can sing with that powerful voice. You sing like South Africans.”
He went ahead to reveal to her about one of his songs ‘The Boy’ he had written with an inspiration of the Late great South African singer, Brenda Fassie and he requested Angella to go ahead and record it in studio which she immediately consented to.
“So, he said he had a song he had written with Brenda Fassie in mind and he wished me to sing. We met and we wrote a beautiful song together in just one hour with some Luganda and English language flavor, the song is called ‘This Boy’,” she added.
Angella Katatumba and Pastor Yiga during their time in studio six months ago
This was done at singer Eddy Kenzo’s Big Talent studios, produced by SteyN who also played an extra role of levelling language hiccups on both ends (Pastor Yiga and Angella Katatumba).
The plan was to have the musical piece mastered by producer Big Nash and there after its video would be shot.
“Producer SteyN aided us to blend more when it came to languages because am imperfect in Luganda and so he was in English. And the song was in the process of being mastered by Big Nash. So the whole plan was that after that, we shoot the video and in a few weeks we release it.”
Unfortunately, on brink of listening to the final master of the song, its when God has called him.
“Like a week and a half ago, he called me. He used to call me ‘Single girl’. I responded and he said that lets now go to studio and listen to the final master and then start planning for the video but you can see how God always has other plans.”
Angella went ahead to eulogize Pastor Yiga for his professionalism.
In that time, I just liked the way he was business minded and professional.
Apart from his phenomenal music writing skills, the deceased spiritual leader will be remembered for introducing artists like Umar Mwanje, Maggie Kayima (Nabbi Omukazi) Hassan Ndugga, Benah Namisinga among others to Uganda’s musical scene.
We have reliably been informed that Nigerian star Raoul John Njeng-Njeng aka Skales has this afternoon landed at Entebbe airport ahead of his much anticipatee collabo with producer and now singer Zuli Tums. MTN Uganda under its enterprise arm of MTN Business has launched a first of its kind 3-in-1 offer for businesses in Uganda. The offer is designed to help businesses get more out of their operations with more control for business owners while allowing them to concentrate on growing their business.
The three in one offer encompasses Voice, Internet, and MoMo for business, making it easy for enterprise customers to run their business operations effectively with the same seamless experience that MTN as a corporate entity has come to be known for.
As part of the deal, business customers signing up for the offer will receive free service installation on fixed voice, discounted transaction fees on MoMo for Business, as well as free installation, free subscription for the first month, discounts on monthly subscription fees plus free domain registration and hosting for a year for the internet solutions.
Ibrahim Ssenyonga, the MTN Business General Manager said, “Many times businesses think using multiple providers gives them more reliability and lower costs. Instead, managing multiple providers gives you headache.”
“At MTN, we believe that it’s better to find a provider who has all the coverage and solutions you need, can be your single point of contact and you can take advantage of economies of scale for not just better pricing, but more efficient delivery as well,” Ssenyonga said.
Ssenyonga went on to explain that the recent changes with COVID19 have taught business owners that more people are going to be transacting online including making orders and payments making it even more imperative that the business community adapts to the new normal.
“COVID19 has changed the way people do things. Businesses that have quickly adopted remote ways of working stand a good chance of survival as more people seek convenience that comes with online trading. This new offer is therefore part of MTN’s wider scheme to further consolidate its effort at supporting and enabling SMEs and the business community in Uganda in general,” he said.
Ssenyonga further explained that because Uganda is one of the most entrepreneurial nations in the world, MTN considers it a duty to support this spirit. “MTN continues to inspire and enable the growth of our business customers in Uganda through integrated telecommunications solutions that ensure efficiency and productivity.”
“Under MTN Business, MTN Uganda has always embraced technology to create innovative solutions that allow our customers to focus on their core business as we enable their technology and communication needs. This is just another way we show our commitment towards this,” Ssenyonga said.

On 7th January 2020, Mbonye told his fellowship that in his prophesy he sees the name Yiga making headlines on all media outlet this year. Without a doubt, pastor Yiga Augustine now the late has make headlines throughout the year.
Pastor Yiga was in March arrested for misleading masses by uttering that Covid-19 was a hoax. This was 3 months after prophet Elvis Mbonye prophesy.
Most recently, the man of God made national news first with a false alert that he was dead before he actually died 3 days later.
Here is a video of Prophet Mbonye making a prophesy that the name Yiga was going to dominate the News this year.

Uganda’s leading audio producer and singer Daddy Andre is yet in another hot soup after his ex lover a one Atim Dorah came out publicly and accused him of failing to do his responsibilities as the father of the child.
Atim said that she got to know Daddy Andre from her friend. She noted that when the two met, Daddy Andre confessed his love for her and made his intentions clear. She went on and added that when she found out that she was pregnant(2011), Daddy Andre advised her to keep the pregnancy. She however got disappointed when Daddy Andre completely refused to take care of his child.
When Andre was contacted, he trashed all the allegations saying the child is not his and that his enemies are trying to pull him down. He insisted that a DNA test has to be done for confirmation. This raised mixed feelings with some of his fans saying he is being haunted by his past.
Following the recent Ronald Mayinja deflection to the ruling party NRM from NUP, Bizonto have not let him enjoy his new party. Bizonto through their weekly theme summing up events of the week have hit hard at the singer. Using Prince Omar’s song Bajikweka, they have hit at Mayinja for being one of those that always hid in NUP but were NRM and that it did not take long before his true intentions surfaced.
Bajikweka is Prince Omar’s song that hit at pretenders and back stabbers and Bizonto seem to say Mayinja was that while in NUP.
“Prince Omar was very right, people hide their hearts, pretend to be who they are not yet they have something totally different in their minds and hearts. Mayinja you have really proven that Prince Omar was right to sing about people like you”- Bizonto partially stated.
