Why APass is against sending money to pastors during quarantine

By Staff Writer

As Ugandans practice social distancing by staying at home to prevent the spread of COVID-19 caused by Coronavirus and staying away from places of worship or any crowded areas after President Museveni’s directive, several Pastors have taken their services online, on television and radio stations to keep in touch with their church members.

However, because churches require money to run, some pastors have been calling on their followers to send tithe and offertory using digital means like Mobile Money among others. When singer and songwriter APass heard about this he was furious.

Speaking in a live video to his fans yesterday, the Didadada singer expressed disgust at such Pastors who have no mercy for their flock. He questioned how someone would ask for money from churchgoers some of whom are not working anymore because of the pandemic.

‘Why would you do such a thing, people to send you mobile money in times like these when they are not making any money. When the church has problems they tell people to collect money. But when the people have problems the church tells them to pray. The church promises you that you will have a better life when you die. Politicians promise that you will get a better life when you elect him. This causes a lot of problems for people. We need to stop making decisions because of feelings. We shouldn’t walk in fear. We should stop relying on one pastor or religious leader. What if your pastor dies, will you stop praying? I wouldn’t advise anyone to send them money until this is over.’

Asked about which religion he subscribes to since he is against Pastors, APass had this to say; “Show love to each other no matter your religion. I am not religious, I am spiritual and I believe in love. That is why I make music. I am not rich, I make some money off my music but it is not the main purpose. I want to put my voice out there and inspire people. It is important to be together in this time. Although we need to distance ourselves. But let’s stay together in mind. This will keep us moving as people.”

You can now call the Ministry of Uganda on 919 Toll-Free for assistance with any issues related to Coronavirus. This message is brought to you by MTN Uganda.

By Staff Writer

As the world grapples with the Coronavirus pandemic, Pastor Augustine Yiga of Revival Church in Kawala has made some comments that have landed him in big trouble.

The Uganda Police Force arrested Pastor Augustine Iga of Revival Church Kawala, Rubaga Division in Kampala over false utterances and passing harmful propaganda relating to the current Corona Virus (COVID 19) pandemic in the country.

The Pastor is suspected to have said, in a video recording branded by BBS TV, that the Corona Virus is not in Uganda. The video that went viral undermines government efforts in fighting the COVID 19 pandemic and exposes the public to dangers of laxity in observing the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health on its control and prevention.

According to Police, the action of Pastor Iga promotes the spread of the COVID 19 and can therefore be considered as a direct attack on the people of the Republic of Uganda. Therefore, the suspect, who is currently detained at Old Kampala Police Station, will be interviewed to establish the motive behind the dangerous utterances.

Uganda Police Force appeals to the public to desist from making false or alarming utterances concerning COVID 19 and disregard information not from authorized government structures.

Wash your hands with soap and water regularly to prevent Covid-19 infection. Follow guidelines by the Ministry of Health and call 919 in case of any questions.

R Kelly wants to be released from jail over coronavirus fears

R Kelly requested to be released from jail due to fears over the spread of coronavirus. According to Fox News, the 53-year-old is currently in jail in Chicago on charges involving the sexual abuse of minors. An 18-page court filing by R Kelly’s legal team states his life is being put ‘at risk’ due to the jail’s few health and safety efforts when it comes to dealing with the virus. ‘The health risk to Mr. Kelly, because of his age and existing health issues, especially considering the conditions at the MCC, necessitates his release on bail,’ it states.

The Ignition singer’s lawyers claim that hand sanitiser and soap are sparse in the Metropolitan Correctional Centre (MCC) and inmates are put in small cells with a cellmate despite social distancing rules outside the jail. His ‘existing health issues’ were not expanded on, but the file insisted they were in line with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s high-risk category.

The file continued: ‘The courts have long recognized that there is no greater necessity than keeping a defendant alive, no matter the charge.’ R Kelly recently faced fresh sex crime allegations via federal prosecutors in New York City. The I Believe I Can Fly singer is already awaiting trial in Brooklyn, where he faces charges including sex trafficking, racketeering and child pornography. The star also has pending cases in Minnesota. Now, two new alleged victims – listed as Jane Doe #5 and Jane Doe #6 – have come forward in NYC, with one claiming she was under 18 when she claims she had sex with him in 2015.

The latest chapter in R Kelly’s long journey with the law comes to light after TMZ obtained his new legal documents. The indictment out of the Eastern District of New York includes charges of coercion and enticement, coercion of a minor, and transportation of a minor across state lines.

President drops Coronavirus awareness song

Liberian president George Weah has released a song to create awareness for the global pandemic coronavirus. The six-minute song called Let’s Stand Together and Fight Coronavirus explains how the virus is spread. It also sensitizes Liberians on some preventive measures.

Already Liberia has recorded three cases of the novel virus. “From Europe to America, from America to Africa, take precautions, and be safe,” the former football icon sings.

This isn’t the fight time Weah has been innovative when it comes to addressing national or global pandemics.

According to his spokesperson, Solo Kelgbeh, Weah produced songs during the Ebola crisis that led to the death of close to 5,000 Liberians. He also stated that the president started working on the song before the coronavirus reached Liberia.

The song serves a practical purpose, Kelgbeh said. “Liberia is a country where a majority of the people don’t have access to the internet and Facebook, but everyone listens to radio,” he said.

“This song will be played on various radio stations in the country… to have the message spread sufficiently,” he added. Liberia, a country of approximately 4.8 million people, have ban travels from countries that are worst hit by the virus.

Despite having just three recorded cases, there are fears of the country’s capacity to handle an outbreak.

Meanwhile, Ugandan musician turned politician, Bobi Wine is also using music to help curb the spread of coronavirus.

Wine, a controversial figure teamed up with fellow artist, Nubain Li to release a song laced with east Africa’s signature rumba melodies about the importance of personal hygiene, The Guardian reported.

“The bad news is that everyone is a potential victim,” Wine noted in the song. “But the good news is that everyone is a potential solution.”

The pair are encouraging people to regularly wash their hands, keep distance and look out for symptoms such as fever and cough. So far, Uganda has a total of 14 cases after it confirmed five more cases on Wednesday.

People are currently being advised to protect against the spread of the virus by washing their hands, covering their mouths and noses when coughing or sneezing.

OPINION: Uganda after the Coronavirus Pandemic

By Staff Writer

Many people will never return to Church in the aftermath of COVID-19. The quarantine has given them a taste of freedom.

It has also downed on most people that they had no life after all. That they are the epitome of boredom. That all along, they lived a life of escapism. Left to themselves, they are empty. They escaped to bars, to music concerts, to things that gave them an illusion of a life. Now on their own, the emptiness of life glares at them.

Men will finally realize that sex after all is overrated. If a man has options all at his table, he suddenly realizes that sex is not a big deal. Sex is only a big deal to a man who rarely gets it. For most men in these times, sex is abundant. Never before in the history of the dating market has sex knocked on men’s doors in such abundance.

Most marriages will be no more. By drawing couples together, friction became the end result. Again, men used their work, the bars to hide from the conflicts of their relationships. With nowhere to run, men and women are now being forced to resolve their problems or wait for quarantine to end to move on with life. Of course, for some men, these times have given them an insight into home expenses. Suddenly they realize that food doesn’t cost as much as they claim it did.

But what about the other aspects of hugs, handshakes? What about the realization that most jobs are just emails, meetings and having a grasp of corporate lingo? What about the realization that for most people, the only reason they came to work is for access to fast internet, coffee and lunch.

It is also the realization that the jobs we despised the most are what actually hold society. The guys in dirty gloves are the people that run this society. These moments are what separate the actual doers from the ones who tag along, only good at having good email signatures…

It is also an awakening that our hygiene was at an all time low as a society. It is also an awakening that for most of us, we are two meals away from being beggars.

These are interesting times…

FACT: #COVID19 is NOT airborne.

The #coronavirus is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes or speaks.

To protect yourself:
-keep 1m distance from others
-disinfect surfaces frequently
-wash/rub your 👐
-avoid touching your 👀👃👄

Following numerous accusations from several complainants that producer Daddy Andre pushed them into having sex before releasing their music, his ex-cougar girlfriend Angella Katatumba who had dated the producer for about 2 months has added salt to injury. In a Facebook post today Katatumba did not only conform split allegations but also cemented that the horny producer does not love to take an HIV test before his sessions.

Kakatumba said she broke up with Daddy Andre because she was not sure of his HIV status.

She posted “Hi Everyone,

This is in response to all those that have been constantly asking me for interviews regarding my relationship with Andre.

– For over three months, Andre treated me like a princess. He spent over 20 Million UGX on me. There is nothing he didn’t do or buy for me and he never let me pay for a thing. He introduced me to all his friends, family, relatives and he even took me to his village.

– Things got crazy for him in January where he was burdened with a lot of problems. Amongst financial and many others, Andre’s former PA stole his money and his car and to make matters worse, I also left him in January, because, he completely refused to do the HIV test.

Trust me, this was not an easy decision and I felt horrible, especially after, Andre poured all the love on earth on me. Despite that, I had to stick to my principles. I decided to keep it professional and focus on promoting our music.

Katatumba’s revelation comes at a time when four young female artistes have recently come out to accuse Andre of sexual harassment.

How many Slots of UPAP do you own?

By Charles Lambert

Every time I look at a Ugandan, the first question that comes to my mind is “How many slots of UPAP do you own? When I look at people who have come into close contact with me or our organization and realize they don’t own any UPAP, I puzzle with amazement.

When I look at those who earned millions from us either in salaries, commissions, supplier contracts and the likes and still don’t own any UPAP, I finally comprehend the scripture- “my people perish for lack of knowledge”.

I own 2,000 out of the 20,000 available UPAP slots. I settled my mother, my father, my siblings, my children and all my loved ones by issuing those UPAP Slots.

I gave my best employees, my confidants, my strongest supporters and my deepest well-wishers UPAP slots and I know for a fact that I now truly owe no one anything no matter how much more successful I become in the future. So what is so special about UPAP slots?

UPAP platform showing cash out value of 5 slots.

UPAP slots are dividend magnets to the largest economic revolution in Africa’s history YET pegged to receive only $100 per month from the pot because the magnets are so few they could easily get $10,000 per month each. The pegging was easy to implement because the magnets were received through product purchase as against pure cash investment ( Ofcourse the mitigating factors we experienced meant some people never got their tablets but this doesn’t erase the fact that a product was paid for). This pegging of these magnets however has a strong benefit which is that those magnets will ALWAYS be able to withdraw that $100 per month from that huge pot forever.

This means one magnet or one UPAP slot is GUARANTEED to pay you dividend of $100 per month for life? So how are we sure this pot of money where the magnets are drawing from is realistic.

Development Channel owns some of the most critical intellectual properties in the world of international development. From programs to systems, processes to structures, themes to designs, products to services, shows to campaigns and more, DC is THE INNOVATOR for global development. One great monopolistic innovation makes billions of dollars in today’s world so how about 100s? DC’s Flow which connects all of Africa’s economy through a credit system is highly monopolistic in nature and set to attract over 80% of the African population and $1.5 billion dollars in monthly revenues. DC’s OBF which connects home construction to overseas mortgages for funding is a $17 billion dollars per annum initiative.

Then DC’s Redirect Mall, DC’s Lechi, DC’s ITE, DC’s Forgotten Places, DC’s M7 Agriculture bank, DC’s Economic System, and countless multi billion dollars intellectual property belonging to one company.

UPAP platform where you receive messages from the company as well as withdraw your monthly returns.

Development Channel has also completed the development of its proprietary Influence Triangle with the unique App Based ability to employ 18.6 million people in three distinct professions to effectively influence the market dominance of its 100s of unprecedented innovations. We don’t just have products;we also have the market in our palm. So why not share it with your friends and families only, why give it to me for buying a product?

Simple answer, without you, our orchestrated plan to deliver Africa from gross poverty and lack of capital for industrialization and job creation will not succeed. Without paying that $100 per month to as many people as possible (20,000), we will only succeed in making money for ourselves but do nothing great for Africa. What’s the fun in just making some individual money if its possible that we can do both individual and community benefit? How do you mean?

We must have a version of New York’s Wall Street in Africa if we will ever experience industrialization. Who will bell the cat has been the only question. Black Americans tried to do this for the race by creating what they called The Black Wall Street. They profited individually and collectively until envy drove some white Americans to attack them and burn down the whole place killing over 300 people and burning the place to ashes(The place is still a ghetto today). We are rebuilding this Black Wall Street in Uganda because the only mistake our African American brothers and sisters made was to build The Black Wall Street on Western Soil and Uganda being one of the most secured black nations in the world because of M7, provides the most logical nation for the establishment of the most important icon of the Black Race ( THE ONLY PROBLEM THE PREVIOUS BLACK WALL STREET HAD WAS SECURITY).

We can only create Black Wall Street through thousands of families receiving and withdrawing dividends via verifiable pro development companies paying them for risk free investments through product purchase. This will encourage all of Africa and diaspora 1.4 billion people to participate in the risk free investment mechanism of the Black Wall Street and we can use the over $100 billion dollars saved from capital flight to horn Africa towards competing in a $21 trillion dollars development financial market. Strangely and quite simply, we need you to own UPAP for Africa to develop.

So what are you waiting for, take over the slot of ignorant people who thought they were joining a ponzie, a get rich quick scheme and began to murmur when it became academic and intellectual.

UPAP platform showing accumulated monthly returns.

Over 3,800 Ugandans with over 11,000 slots currently own an account on the platform where all Development Channel innovations are sold through its Influence Triangle and have been receiving $100 per slot, per month payment for several months anticipating regular withdrawals while DC has launched 7 highly innovative basic human need Apps on Google Play Store. UPAP value is never less than $100 per month in dividend and gained this status since November 2019 making thousands of members have current account balances exceeding $1,000 and counting. UPAP is currently the only monthly dividend paying stock in Ugandan history.

After the malicious attack and blackmail we experienced from detractors who thought cheap attacks could derail us, we implemented a new rule of account activation to help us separate our internal enemies from our loyal members. This has made thousands of inactivated UPAP slots ready for buy out and settlement of the withdrawn members.

Own UPAP Slot today by replacing an uninformed illiterate who thought it was a Ponzi when they invested.

Ask one of our authorized brokers about Cash OUT. Cash Out expected at the boom of the industry to pay $30,000 per UPAP slot which only cost most people $270 dollars at the time, 2018(Now valued at $500 per slot).

UPAP was created to make eternal history. Knowing about it and not owning it will haunt you forever.
