out dated version of an artiste who can’t relate the current music with the trend but rather stay away from the scenes and concentrate on politics.

“Kato Lubwama is our grandfather and is just speaking because they talk. He cannot talk of the current trend and the music; 32 is a big hit trending all over he should just continue with his politics”, spice Diana responded. Kato Lubwama has not responded to the statements yet.

Development Channel, a company which recently opened offices in Uganda, has launched an initiative dubbed “African Child Poverty Alleviator” which is aimed at improving the quality of life for the African child.

Speaking at the launch of the initiative at their offices in Kamwokya on Friday, Charles Lambert, the Chairman of Development Channel, reiterated that Africa’s future can only be bright if the children, who are its foundation, are provided with a support system to ensure their well being and prosperity.

“Child poverty is the worst kind of poverty to hit a nation because it attacks the basic foundation for its future. A poor child is certain to lack adequate education, and is very vulnerable to criminal tendencies. Therefore if the children are poor, then the future is gloom.” He stated.

“Developed countries like UK, USA, Australia, and China among others all have various programs to cater for the growth and well-being of its children and this ensures they grow to be better and very competitive on the global stage unlike those born in Africa.” He added.

According to Lambert, the “African Child Poverty Alleviator” will ensure continued sustainability of African children thus redirecting their future from an impending doom to a bright one. To benefit from this initiative, children will be enrolled by acquiring one of the company’s mobile devices which will give them access to different developmental and educational tools.

Development Channel is a conglomerate of 25 companies aimed at uplifting the quality of African lives by promoting African industrialization through embracing emerging technologies.

With the current security uncertainty in the country, it has become everyone’s concern to be on alert. The growing concern has not left singer Jose Chameleone who also gave his opinion on the current security status.

After the Murder of Member of Parliament Ibrahim Abiriga, an emotional Chameleone gave his view on what he thinks of the situation. “Abiriga was my friend, to be murdered in such a brutal manner was unfair.” he said.

Chameleone also thinks disputing parties and persons need dialogue rather than ending each other’s lives. “If people do not agree on either partisan issues or any other principles, I would think it important they engage in dialogue, war is not saving any of us.” He gave his opinion.

Chameleone remains one of the most respected persons in the country with singer considered top most of them all.
