Last Friday was a strange one at NBS TV after one of the lined up artistes for performances, Leila Kayondo turned up for the TV interview dead drunk.

Leila who couldn’t answer a single question well left TV presenter Anitah Fabiola and the live audience not to mention the viewers at home baffled.

When it came to time for performing, we could only pray that she doesn’t puke on stage or something. She only managed to do a few songs with the help of her die hard fans in the live audience who did most of the singing.

GNL Zamba is back, this time in a band following a long period of silence musically since he went to the USA with his girlfriend Miriam Tamar.

The two have formed a new band called Nsimbi comprising of only themselves as far as we know now. The Ugandan-American world fusion duo is set for big things with an Album already done and ready for release.

GNL who has things going for him recently participated in the Who is Who rappers battle. He has also managed to get himself some Hollywood gigs.

GNL Zamba, born Ernest Nsimbi, is a popular and influential hip hop artiste, credited with bringing rap and Lugaflow style of music to mainstream radio and other media in Uganda. His stage name, GNL, is short for “Greatness No Limits

Between Thursday April 26th to Sunday April 29th Game Stores, Gabz Lounge, Le chateau, Piato, Master Supermaket and Karvelli are the selected outlets where customers can swipe their cards through Stanbic Bank’s Point of Sale terminals.

Nile Special has launched a new consumer campaign in which individuals stand a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to watch the 2018 FIFA World Cup live in Russia. Dubbed “Tulumbe Russia”, it was launched on Wednesday evening at their head offices in Luzira.

The campaign, which will run throughout the month of May, will see 10 lucky consumers across the country win fully paid trips to Russia. There are also several other goodies including TVs, and Kwese decoders among others to be won.

The hip hop beef between the smallest rapper Fefe Busi and Fik Famaica has taken a new twist.

As we all get a grip of the rumor that stunning TV star Sheila Gashumba is dating the fast rising rapper Fik Famaika, something new has come up.

Fefe Busi seems to have added salt to the wound after he recently hit the studio and recorded “Bad Segu” a song believed to be a direct diss track for Sheila Gashumba who’s apparently rumored to be Fik’s ‘property’.

In the song, Fefe venomously belittles Sheila as he goes on to describe a nasty yet young instagram girl who’s always up for whoever is on top of the entertainment scene, doesn’t protect her self and lives a lavish life.

Moles have it on good authority that when the song landed in Frank Gashumba’s ears, he immediately called Fefe Busi’s manager a one Arafat and warned him and together with his rapper to halt singing about his daughter.

The first ever Kampala night run has been launched. The one of a kind race will be a two-kilometer fun run slated for June 9th this year.

Organised under the theme ‘LITE THE NIGHT’, the start and finish point of the Tusker Lite Kampala Night Run will be Torino Bar & Restaurant in Kololo, and flag off is scheduled for 7pm. The night promises to get even better as the end of the run will mark the beginning of the glow in the dark after party, where the finish point will turn into a hive of activity for the runners-turned- partygoers, with drinks and adrenaline jerking games on offer until late in the night.

Participants will set off from Torino Bar and Restaurant, heading for Upper Kololo, through Impala Avenue, onto Lugogo Bypass and then returning to the set-off point. At the finish line, each participant will be ushered inside for the rest of the night’s activities which will include dancing challenges, German shots, with various prizes at stake.

Prizes will be given for categories including: shortest time to reach the finish line; first runner-up; second runner-up; most creative runner; most stylish runner; most lit/glowed up runner and; best squad. The prizes will include vouchers for designer sports gear, medals and gym bags.

Singer Catherine Kusasira has reformed and promised the husband to be at piece henceforth.  The couple that introduced last Saturday in Luwero had in the past been in an on and off relationship with Catherine always accused of cheating. However, the couple has resolved all that and decided to settle.

Catherine Kusasira in a statement said “Today am apologizing for whatever silly mistake and uncalled for relationships that I engaged in previously and I promise never to ever cheat on you again”, Kusasira apologized. She then added that, “Have learnt my lessons and thank you for forgiving me for all those times that I messed up on you, your time I wasted but didn’t move away as kept on waiting for me to settle. Thank you so much daddy Sserugga”.

Prodigal son Latinum who left the group after a dispute has begged the group to return to them and work with them. The singer has been pardoned and allowed to work with them again.

We have been told that Lutaaya believes that the people of Kyotera where he hails from need a strong leader like himself who has travelled the world and yet remained rooted in the area.

We have also been given information that the singer is currently at University doing a quick course that will aid his political ambitions come the next general elections.

As President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni grows older, he has found it important to share knowledge with the young people without holding back as he sees them as the future of Uganda.

While he presided over the pass-out of 1,023 graduates from different districts trained in herbal medicine practice by the Uganda North American Youth Development Association in Lubaga-Mutundwe, Kampala yesterday, the president didn’t hold back when talking about skin bleaching a common practice amongst Kampala slayqueens.

‘Ugandans should have self-confidence to understand the laws of nature and utilise them to help others,’ the head of state said at the function.

“To the women, please stop bleaching your skin. Let your skin colour remain as it was created by God. Bleaching will cause you a lot of trouble,” he added.

Musician Jose Chameleone is turning 39 years in 2 days and a mega Pre-Birthday party has been planned for his today at Cayenne Bar in Bukoto.

We have been told that the party will be for Chameleone and his friends strictly. Entrance is 10,000shs Ordinary and 50,000shs for Chameleone’s VIP friends.

There will be live performances at the event as MC Killer C runs the night.

Uganda’s oldest Chimpanzee, Zakayo 54, has been laid to rest.

The Chimp that has been a center of attraction not only in Uganda but world over with people traveling miles and miles to lay eyes on him died of chronic gastroenteritis.

Due to his old age, he was highly susceptible to opportunistic infections. Zakayo had lived at Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (Entebbe zoo), for 42 years until he breathed his last. The vigil was held on Friday 27.04.2018 at UWEC Beach.

Several tourists and environmentalists paid their last respects at Entebbe zoo where the chimp has been laid to rest.

He left behind a child named Shaka 17 years of age. He also had two wives named Ruth and Amina.

Rest in peace Zakayo.

Dressed to kill as both artistes were, they fought on stage musically with each of them tactically working the crowds to their favour.

Although it is known that Sheebah is the queen of the music industry, people who attended the show were left with a few questions on their minds because of the speed at which Fille is rising and the energy she exudes while on stage.

Musician Mathias Walukaga was last night rescued from the Jaws of death at Lambu landing site in Masaka.

The singer who had staged a show only for its popularity to overwhelm his team decided to hike the tickets by an extra 3,000shs. Little did the kadongo kamu singer know that this was receip for disaster.

Although some of the fans had protested the sudden hike in ticket fees, many managed to arrange for quick cash and made their way to the venue.

Trouble started when many of the advertised singers were not showing up despite chants from the audience. Fans were angry that they were made to pay more for nothing.

It is at this time that Mathias showed up on stage only to be welcomed by stones, bottles and chairs that were being thrown on stage by angry partiers.

They demamded for artistes that had been advertised some of whom were abroad in London doing other shows.

At this point one thing led to another and before long, Mathias was being clobbered by angry partiers. They broke chairs, destroyed car windows among other things.

Police at the venue couldn’t calm the situation which prompted a team member from Mathias’ camp to call Police from Masaka.

When they arrived at the scene, sanity was restored but the damage had already been done. Luckily, Mathias was saved along with his fellow singers and team members.

NBS TV has a new show in the pipeline that will get you laughing till your ribs hurt.

The new comedy show is about finding the next comedy star in Uganda.

Championed by comedian Salvador Idringi, the show kicked off with off-air auditions at the Kwese auditorium in Naguru today.

Massive numbers of talented youth showed up for the auditions with eachone of them trying to get the judges favour and vote by cracking the funniest jokes.

Interested participants joined by sending the word “COMIC” to 8888 via SMS and they got their audition number.

The winning comedian will walk away with a brand new car and 10 million shillings in cash.
