Known for their flashy lifestyle, Rich Gang whose members include Ivan Ssemwanga, Ed Cheune, King Lawrance and Prince MJ, are set to live up to their reputation at their highly anticipated annual party.

 Speaking about the party, they said; “It will be a mega party and we will all have a blast.”

“You should come ready to ‘harvest’ money because we will make it rain,” they added.

Meanwhile, revelers will also be treated to an open bar.

Being held for the 3rd annual year, “Made of Money” party will take at Club Guvnor. Revellers will be entertained with performances from Sheebah Karungi.

It seems that Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe and her Ugandan rival Zari Hassan have decided to bury the hatchet after months of a simmering feud that saw the two throwing some dark shade at each other.

Huddah will be one of the celebrities headlining a beach party on December 24 in Iringa, Tanzania, organized by Wasafi Records WCB, a music stable owned by Zari’s husband, Diamond Platinumz. Among the artistes who will perform at the beach party are Rich Mavoko and Harmonize.

Huddah and Zari have in the past locked horns after the former’s invite to Latiffa’s (Diamond and Zari’s daughter) birthday party failed to suffice. The two then started throwing shade at each other with Huddah calling Diamond government property and accusing Zari of having children with Diamond just to tie him down. Zari on her part dared Huddah to post a picture of a man who will claim ownership of her in public.

Spicy, who is a band leader to Nigerian singer Flavour, says he didn’t know how celebrated Jaydee was in East Africa something that catalyzed their love. This comes after Dee divorced her ex husband over domestic violence.

Akon was not down to share the wealth from his hits, which is why he kept one of his producers in the dark … according to a lawsuit.

Leland Clopton claims Akon’s record label, Konvict Entertainment, hid financial stats from him for years to avoid paying his royalties. According to the docs, he produced a number of songs for Akon, but only saw some income statements for a few.

In the suit, Clopton alleges the cover-up was intentional, so Akon could keep Clopton’s royalties from himself. He accuses Akon of a “pattern of racketeering activity.”

Clopton says he’s potentially lost millions since he started working with Akon in 2008. He’s asking for at least $1 mil in damages and for his contract with Akon to be terminated.

Dorrys Mutahunga, a local musician based in Western Uganda, has completed her Masters Degree program.

The folk singer and music teacher will be conferred upon a Degree of Master Of Education from Mbarara University of Science and Technology at their next graduation ceremony which is slated for January 2017.

With palpable joy, Dorrys shared news of her new milestone with fans on social media as she encouraged fellow musicians to also invest in education. She posted:

“With my letter of Masters award in my little hands, my name on the Academic Register’s list set for this January graduation, I can only say, May the lord’s name be praised!

I am here to encourage all especially my fellow artists/Musicians to invest in education given the opportunity. It might be a certificate, a degree or any certified qualification. 1. It’s weird to be called someone’s wife. It’s also weird to call someone your husband (or your wife!). It’s so weird, but also awesome! And yeah, did I mention weird?! You’ll fill out paperwork and it’ll ask if you’re single or married and you’ll start to circle single and then be all, “Crap! Can I get a new form?” It’s weird!

2. You’ll be your true grossest selves in front of each other. You’re married and all bets are off. You’re farting all over each other; you’re peeing with the door open; he’s shaving while you shower. She now knows that sometimes you don’t shower for two days in a row and forget to brush your teeth. She likes you anyway. Ain’t love grand!

3. Joint finances are annoying to figure out. Seriously, it sucks. Joining financial forces is difficult, and confusing, and it’s probably a good idea to get some help from a planner. Figure out what your goals are, the differences in how you spend, and how to make it all flow. Tackle this now, and be $et for life!

4. Couple counseling isn’t a terrible idea. Learning how to communicate in a kind, respectful way is much easier when things are going well than when things are shit. If you get the tools in the beginning of your marriage, it’ll help you later on, guaranteed.

11. You’ll experiment. ~Sexually~. In an attempt to prove you’re not an old, you will try the stuff you read about in Cosmo. Yes, you are now a person who uses the sex tips in this very magazine to get funky fresh with your bride. Hi! Welcome!

12. Your shorthand will get even shorter. If I text my husband, “Bo?” he’ll know I want dinner from Bolan Thai at 7pm exactly. You start to text in an entirely new language, and communicate in series of grunts and farts. It’s pretty great.

Many relationships standing on faulty ground feel added stress during this time of year for a number of reasons, including:

Pressure from family friends.
Work stress.

A perceived need to “get out” before the new year arrives.

Real name Joshua Mayanja Jingo, the young rapper is among talent to watch out for in 2017.  Lito M, with just a couple of songs to his name, describes his style as “BaxyRap”.

He is brother to indigenous singer Mariam Ndagire and is attached to Big Music, a crew led by StarBoss Big Eye. He went to Buddo S.S where he discovered his love for music and consequently decided to pursue a career in music.

He broke out with a song titled Majambebe, on which he collaborated with Mickie Wine. His other songs include Buuka, Ghetto story and Nakayenga among others.

Launched recently, The Keron Kabugo Foundation was started in memory of Juliana’s late son Keron Kabugo. It seeks to uplift the lives of disadvantaged children and women and will see the singer involved in more such charity drives.

The show which held on December 23, 2016, at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels & Suites, had a very low turnout of celebrities. Their absence was glaring with numerous nominees and awardees absent at the award.

The show which was hosted by Falz and Adesua Etomi and celebrated the best of Nigerian music had many awardees fail to turn up. Numerous awards were left unclaimed by the winners as some presenters had to take the awards with them backstage.

Multi-award winning superstar singer, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, sparked up controversy and got tongues wagging at the just concluded 2016 Headies Awards, which was held last night in Lagos, after he openly snubbed a hug and handshake from rapper, Eva Alordiah’s fiance, Caesar.

The embarrassing moment which was caught on camera, shows when Caesar reached out to hug Wizkid who immediately breezed right past him and instead hugged Eva.

There had been many analysis from industry people as many think the Starboy singer didn’t know Cool TV presenter, Caesar, and might have been reaching out for Eva when Caesar who though it was him, stretched his arms only for Wizkid to ditch him and hug his girl, Eva instead.

Meanwhile, Caesar is not new to drama at the Headies awards, having proposed to Eva live on stage at the award ceremony on January 1, 2016. The engagement proposal came as big surprise to the rapper who excitedly confirmed her YES! with a hot kiss.

Brad Pitt has slammed Angelina Jolie in his latest court filing in the estranged couple’s increasingly bitter divorce case.

Pitt’s lawyers have stated that Jolie “has no self-regulating mechanism” to prevent sensitive information about their children and divorce becoming public through the media.

The actor’s legal team filed a memorandum in a Los Angeles court on December 21 explaining to a judge why he wants information about the divorce and the custody of their six children sealed from the public.

In the paperwork Pitt, 53, accuses Jolie, 41, of compromising their children’s privacy and not acting in their “best interest”.

The move from Pitt comes weeks after a judge refused to take emergency action to seal the file but told the actor he could apply for the case to be sealed in January 2017.

Pitt’s lawyers also drafted a proposed order which they would like the judge to approve at the January hearing, which will be at a court in Los Angeles.

Scientists may have finally come up with an explanation for why we have sex.

Many members of the animal and plant kingdoms don’t carry out sexual reproduction – they simply clone themselves to create offspring.

So why did some creatures – including us – evolve to need sex when self-cloning like a plant takes up much less time and energy?

Researches from the University of Stirling may finally have come up with an answer to this age-old biologist’s question.

The answer, surprisingly, was found when the scientists studied waterfleas.

Unusually, these creatures sometimes reproduce sexually by mating with a partner and sometimes asexually by cloning themselves.

The research found the fleas’ sexually produced offspring were more than twice as resistant to infectious disease as their cloned sisters – meaning they are more likely to survive and pass on their genes.

Dr Stuart Auld, from the faculty of natural sciences, said: “One of the oldest questions in evolutionary biology is ‘why does sex exist when it uses up so much time and energy?’

“Sex explains the presence of the peacock’s tail, the stag’s antlers and the male bird of paradise’s elaborate dance.

“But if a female of any of these species produced offspring on her own without sex, her offspring should come to dominate, while the other females watch the redundant males fighting and dancing.

“So why are we not surrounded by clonal organisms?”

The doctor explained: “By comparing clonal and sexual daughters from the same mothers, we found sexually produced offspring get less sick than offspring that were produced clonally.

“The ever-present need to evade disease can explain why sex persists in the natural world in spite of the costs.”

The waterfleas and their parasites were collected from the wild.

Sexually and clonally produced daughters were harvested from the wild waterfleas and these offspring were exposed to the parasites under controlled laboratory conditions.

The research is published in the Royal Society Proceedings B.
