It is international music practice for musicians to hire writers to write for them music and take ownership of it after some sort of renumeration. For musician Lydia Jazmine, a recent song purchase has turned sour for her to the extent that the sexy singer has decided to drop the song.

In a statement released online today, Jazmine said that she has dropped ownership of the Mpanirira because of some disagreements with the writer of the song.

“On 21.06.19, We released audio and lyrics visual titled, ‘Mpanirira’. We bought this song from one of the top music writers in Uganda. However, one week after release, it has come to our knowledge that the song had been sold to another person before getting to our custody,” Jazmine explained the conflict over the song.

“Because of this development, I would like my fans and all concerned stakeholders to know that with immediate effect, I hold no interest in the song. Although we are victims of the Writer’s deed, we highly regret any inconveniences caused.” Jazmine added.

The singer then called on her fans to allow her to drop the ‘Mpanirira’ song in order to keep the brand Lydia Jazmine reputation of staying away from conflict drama.

In the meantime, she is working on new music dance video that she will be releasing in a weeks time.
