Musician Bobi Wine has been very busy of late connecting youths in and outside Uganda and working with them to pave a way for the future.

Yesterday, the singer turned Politician met students’ leaders from different universities in East Africa. He was invited for the 3rd annual conference held at Mandela Institute of Science and Technology in Arusha Tanzania to address them.

Through out his address, Bobi talked about shaping the future of African countries as young people. Here is what he said on the matter.

“My address focused on the role of young Africans in shaping the future of our countries and our continent. I told them how excited I was to interact with young Africans who are gathered together not to do any other thing but to discuss the future of Africa.”

“I also charged them to understand that Africa’s problem has all along never been it’s people, its climate or anything else- it has been squarely a failure of leadership. I told them that we must work so hard to change the fortunes of our people- otherwise we shall have betrayed them. I called upon them to discover their mission and fulfill it when they are still young, and still have the opportunity. Finally, I challenged them not only to be hearers and speakers, but doers of what has been discussed at the conference.”

Bobi also noted that he was grateful for the award that was given to him at the event. “I am grateful for the award given to me by the organizers.\

We will keep you in the know.
