We caught up with singer Nemsis Fixx recently and he took us through his musical journey narrating to us how he dropped studies to concentrate on music  and here are the expects;
“I started this as a mere hobby, around the year 2002. Listening to casette tapes using portable players, and tapes which, while still in school, I bought using the little pocket money I could spare, or what I could steal. I fell in love with music, and especially the poetic nature of Hip Hop music.
Fascinated by the artistic skills of such legends as DMX, Canibus, Eminem, KRS-One, Jay-Z, NAS and many other, as a little boy, I developed a powerful dream to become like one or even bigger than those legends.
My first live performance was a freestyle at a local stag party somewhere in Entebbe. At around 3am that day, while the party crowd had almost dwindled, and while the drizle of  rain threatened to kill it soon, I asked the DJ for a microphone, and I then spent 3
minutes, spitting out some amazing flows to the sound of Outkast’s “Miss Jackson” instrumental. It was the first, but wouldn’t be the last!
While at MUK, battling the B.Architecture course I’d gotten to on Gavo, I got bored with the lectures, and instead returned to my music for a while. That’s the time I did my first ever studio record – an underground classic called “Imagine This” – it’s on SoundCloud and the Internets. Some buzz on campus, and then I switched courses to focus on mathematics and computers. I also somewhat put the music career under the pillow

2014, I founded the tech firm NuChwezi  and with it, got deeper into African mystical philosophy and wider interests in occult pragmatism and eventually, back into Hip Hop!

2015: Started working on my debut album, “Esoteric”, which should have already been released by 2016, but work and travelling abroad have kept that project in-check. But demos are available on my artiste website https://nemesisfixx.com When that album finally drops, trust me, the Game is bound to change… not just in Africa.

2017: Illuminati!

This song was inspired by a desire to catalyze the awakening of more Africans, especially the youth, in this 21 Century. By “awakening”, meaning, more people realizing that they possess within themselves the power to manifest not just their dreams, but their True Will. To those with the ears and eyes, it will be clear that I have a very powerful muse – the lyrics should be a testament to this.

The song includes vocals by a new artiste, Mambo, with whom I’ve also recorded another project, and might continue to work with on a couple more songs.

This song is dedicated to those READY to POSSESS their DREAMS!! And yes, the Chwezi Emcee (aka. “Shamman Emcee”), is just getting started. Beware, our time has come.”
