The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace, Stanley Ntagali, has called upon all Ugandans of voting age to actively get involved in the affairs of our country and therefore go out and vote for leaders dependent on their ability come 2016.
Speaking from the Diocese in Namirembe, he beseeched Ugandans to desist from accepting bribery; citing that good leaders are elected based on their capabilities and merits and that the people of Uganda should use their votes wisely and elect leaders that are able to represent their rights and needs.

The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace, Stanley Ntagali has endorsed Topowa campaign and called upon Ugandans to vote for leaders dependent on their ability come 2016.
He also appealed to those who have offered themselves to lead, to know that leadership comes from God and that they should seek God’s will and also respect themselves, their political opponents and the people of Uganda.
The Archbishop endorsed the campaign dubbed “Topowa” and undertook to honour his vote, as a citizen of Uganda and called upon his fellow Ugandans not to lose hope.
“The Topowa campaign stands for the same principles as the Church of Uganda and is giving Ugandans direction to take a stand and vote for leaders of their choice, and as a Church we support this campaign and encourage the people Uganda not to give up on their nation, but to come out and participate actively peacefully and responsibly in the forthcoming elections.” He stated.
He continued to implore Ugandans to exercise their responsibility and constitutional right to elect leaders of their choice and is confident that through the right election process and prayer, God will give Ugandans the right leaders in the forthcoming elections.
The campaign which is being championed by the Citizens’ Coalition for Electoral Democracy in Uganda (CCEDU), a civil society coalition that advocates for and promotes integrity, transparency and active citizen participation in Uganda’s electoral process is a voter mobilization campaign that encourages, motivates and inspires Ugandans to peacefully, actively and responsibly participate in the forthcoming elections.
