Congolese music star General Defao has been detained at a Mombasa hotel after he failed to pay his bills.
The rhumba musician is said to have been unable to pay a Sh20,000 bill.
The Rhumba musician said that a club in Mombasa refused to settle the bill for food and accommodation at Rickseaside Villas in Nyali.
According to him, he was booked in the hotel on July 28 and performed last Saturday.
He said that the club management asked him to stay and perform on August 3 but he did not perform.
The bill for his stay between July 28 and August 1 was cleared but the club failed to pay for the additional four days.
