News reaching our desk indicates that renowned comedy group, Bizonto has been arrested again. The comedians are accused of promoting sectarianism.

Bizonto comedy group
The group comprising of Mercel Mbabali, Simon Peter Ssabakaki, Julius Sserwanja and Gold Kimatono were arrested on Friday morning at Radio Simba.
The CID spokesperson Charles Twine, confirms the re-arrest of Bizonto comedians and says they will appear at Buganda Road Magistrate’s Court today after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) approving their file.
It should be recalled that in July last year, they were arrested and detained over sectarian acts and offensive communication in their comedy skits.
Some of the caustic skits that were presented as evidence before court by government against the Bizonto highlighted the imbalanced distribution of the national cake. Through the clips, Bizonto claimed that top heads of government institutions mostly hailed from only one region of the country.
