Renowned media personality Marcus Kwikiriza has called it quits at 106.1 Next Radio.
The announcement came in through his social media on Friday evening as he clarified his tough decision to hang up the MIC.
According to Marcus, the strong passion for radio has often limited his countless attempts to quit but this is the best time he feels to end it.
Here is Marcus’s statement in-part;
After many amazing years on morning radio, trying several times to quit, and failing because of my love for it, it’s time for me to finally hang up the MIC.
Karitas, am going to miss that infectious smile and energy. I’m more than confident that the team will get the best replacement on the show and keep breaking radio records. Coming out of retirement for an audiovisual radio experience was more than worth it
Marcus’s resignation at the Naguru-based audiovisual radio station comes in after almost 3years, presenting a fun-filled morning show dubbed ‘Next Morning Zoo’ alongside Karitas Karisimbi.
He also features on NBS TV’s ‘Another Round’ program with Gaetano Kaggwa a lifestyle show where two friends hang out at their favorite bar and talk about anything and everything from sports to entertainment, politics, relationships, trends, and more.
Marcus’s next destination is still unclear though intimates reveal that he will be replacing Mr. Robert Kabushenga who recently resigned as the CEO of Vision Group.
We will keep you posted
